Dead Space remake: Where to find the Tissue Sample side mission item

The Dead Space remake adds new side missions to Isaac’s time on the USG Ishimura. These small trips are made through the ship for world building and narration. One side mission, “Premeditated malpractice,” might be a little confusing: Found during Chapter 5, “Lethal Devotion,” You can also stumble upon the steps outside of an ordered sequence.

You will need a tissue sample

The confusing thing about this side mission is the fact that it can be difficult to find the DNA ScanningThe Main LabOf HealthcareOn your way to collecting the liquid nitrogen While fleeing from the Hunter Necromorph), before the DNA Scanner can locate the required sample. Just say DNA scanner “Tissue Sample Needed.”

You just need to be a bit more creative in order to find the Tissue Sample.

Take the Hunter’s Tissue Sample

Cryogenics, you’ll finally fight and defeat Dr. Mercer’s Hunter By Stasising it in central cryo chamberactivating controls in adjacent rooms Control Room for Cryogenics. Once it’s dead — and after a quick call with Daniels — you’ll be free to loot the room(s).

In the cryo chamber, all that’s left of the Hunter is a Tissue Sample. Pick that up to start the “Premeditated Malpractice” side mission. Click on Missions in the RIG menu. To the right click on the Probe of ScantissueObjective under Premeditated Malpractice, and Choose Follow the Objective.

Scan your tissue sample at the DNA Scanner

Your locator will now direct you to the Main LabArea of Medical, and the DNA Scanner. You’ll have to handle a few necromorphs on the way there.

Scanning the Tissue Sample there will unlock the next steps in the side mission that take you to the Bridge and finally to Hydroponics — where you’ll pick up the Upgrade to the Prototype Stasis ModuleThis can cause you to lose your Stasis ability.
