Dead Island 2 Delayed To April

Dead Island 2 is now delayed to April

This zombie romp was originally scheduled to release on February 3. It will now be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 4 on April 28. The delay will be for 12 weeks. This is not too bad considering the fans have waited almost a decade to get this sequel. The team is asking for more time from Dambuster Studios, publisher Deep Silver to make Dead Island 2 the best game it can at launch.

This is the complete explanation of the delay

We have some very important information to share. So let’s take that band aid off right now. We are delaying Dead Island 2 – the new release date will be April 28, 2023. Dead Island’s delay is ironic. We understand this as well as your disappointment. This delay will only last 12 weeks. Development is now on its final leg. We’re going take the time necessary to launch a game we are proud of. We are grateful to those who have waited for this game for many years.

“In the meantime we will release an exciting new trailer at Dead Island 2 and gameplay on YouTube. The premiere will take place on December 6th on Twitch, YouTube and the Dead Island Website.”

You can watch the Dead Island 2 trailer earlier in the summer, and our interview with devs to find out more information about the procedurally generated gore.
