Dead By Daylight: Original Story Portrait Of A Murder Chapter Announced Alongside Epic Games Store Release Window

Behaviour Interactive released the next chapter of Dead by Daylight. It’s an original story entitled Portrait of a Murder. 

Portrait of a Murder, which is set in a bizarre interpretation of an abandoned cemetery in Chile’s desert, “is an artistic ode of fear and darkness.” The asymmetrical multiplayer online title now has two Latin American characters. Another character is a Mexican American first. 

In a press release, Dave Richard, creative director, writes that Portrait of a Murder is Dead by Daylight is returning to its roots. He describes the story as “Portrait of a Murder is Dead by Daylight” and offers a new chapter in which he weaves mystery, dark fantasy, and fear. The new characters also represent our players base and are unique and varied, as part of our DNA. 

Portrait of a murder features a new killer called The Artist. This Chilean artist, a gifted but tortured Chilean painter otherwise known as Carmina Moura, is featured in Portrait of a Crime. Jonah Vasquez is a CIA codebreaker who sees numbers wherever he goes. He’s also part of the DLC. The Forsaken Boneyard is the new map. It’s located in an abandoned graveyard of surrealists in the Chilean desert. 

Although a release date has not been announced, Portrait of a Murder is expected to arrive sometime in the month. It will be available for purchase at $6.99 in the Microsoft Store and Steam as well as Stadia and Steam. It will cost $7.99 to add the new chapter.

Behaviour Interactive revealed today that Dead by Daylight would join the Epic Games Store catalog in December.

The press release states that all Dead by Daylight content, from the original edition to the latest, will become available in December. Fans will also be delighted to know that Epic Games Store allows cross-platform play and cross-platform progress via their Behaviour accounts. 

When Dead by Daylight becomes available, Portrait of a Murder is now available in the Epic Games Store.
