That’s an intriguing response. It seems that Warner Bros. has already made this clear. Discovery would like its DCU be closer to Marvel Studios’ MCU. Marvel Games vice-president and creative director Bill Roseman told us in September that Marvel Games’ Marvel games should not be connected with the rest. This allows for narrative freedom, which is something that might prove difficult for some studios.

This is an area where DC may differ from Marvel, and who knows? Maybe it’s the creative edge DC requires to keep pace with the MCU. It will be interesting to see what happens in the future.
