Critical Role animated series’ title sequence premieres at NYCC

Critical Role, the wildly popular Dungeons & Dragons actual play series, is coming to Amazon Prime with an animated series called Legend of Vox MachinaThis is. Amazon Prime Video will be streaming the series’ premiere episode on February 4, 2022. On Friday, during a presentation at New York Comic Con, the Critical Role team revealed the cartoon’s opening title sequence.

The video depicts characters played by the original cast of the long-running series, including voice actors Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Ashley Johnson, Liam O’Brien, Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, and Travis Willingham.

According to the video’s official description, Legend of Vox Machina “will follow a band of misfits with a fondness for boozing and brawling. They set out to find a way to protect Exandria, a realm they have been trying to escape from the evil forces of dark magic. From a sinister necromancer to a powerful curse, the group confronts a variety of obstacles that not only test their skills, but also the strength of their bond.”

The new animated series will focus on the events of Critical Role’s first season. This is a long campaign that has been known as Vox Machina. The troupe’s second campaign is called The Mighty NeinThis was followed up by the interstitial sequence Exandria Unlimited. On Oct. 21, a third campaign arc will be released. The stream will be available live on Twitch, YouTube and YouTube. Cinemark Theaters will simulcast the episode in 20 U.S. cities. The troupe of actual-play actors is also teaming up with Cinemark Theaters.
