Cover Reveal – Dead Island 2

Since its initial reveal in 2014 (just a few years after the original franchise was founded), many have been eagerly awaiting this much-anticipated sequel. That’s why I went to Nottingham, England, to go hands-on with the game for more than seven hours. Soon, I will share everything that I have learned. Dead Island 2 takes over this month’s cover. Game Informer Alex Van Aken, video editor, visited Dambuster Studios, Nottingham, to play Dead Island 2 and talk to the director. We also learned from the lead narrative about the reasons that a title with “island”, in it’s name, is set in Los Angeles. Some of the team’s audio engineers used BBQ shredder claws on watermelons to make the sickening sounds that drive each kick, punch, and thunk within the unique F.L.E.S.H. system. system. We talked about pop culture inspirations, and why Dambuster Studios is aiming to – above all else – make zombies fun to kill and be killed by.
