Cities: Skylines II Console Release Delayed To Spring 2024
The console version of Cities: Skylines II has been delayed by Paradox Interactive and developer Colossal Order. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X version of the game, originally scheduled to launch on October 24, along with the PC release, has been delayed until spring next year. PC version is still scheduled to launch in October.
Colossal Order, in a tweet update on the subject, says that it needs additional time to meet the quality standards set by the company for its console launch.
This update says: “Mayors! We’re working hard to get the game released.” We’ve realized that it will take more time for us to meet the console quality goals. We want to provide the best experience for our players, we’re updating the release window for Xbox & PS5 to Spring 2024.”

Colossal Order & Paradox Interactive have sent a separate email to say that the extra time “allows us to concentrate on matching quality & performance across all platform.” Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive say in a separate email that “the additional time allows us to focus on matching the quality and performance across all platforms.”
City: Skylines II will be released on PC October 24. PS5/Xbox Series X will release sometime in the spring of next year.
