Choo-Choo Charles Brings Our Thomas The Tank Engine Nightmares To Life

Since the dawn of PC mods, Thomas the Tank Engine’s menacing presence has loomed large in unexpected places – The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Resident Evil Village, even the Mass Effect franchise. This was the driving force behind one developer’s decision to create an experience about how you escape the control of a humanoid train. You must take control of your train and reconnect the tracks, traverse a scary landscape, then fire at the multi-wheeled pursuitr using a minigun mounted on a mount. Two Star Games’ Choo-Choo Charles brings our Thomas the Tank Engine nightmares to life. 

Choo-Choo Charles’ announcement trailer (seen above) is brimming with random encounters and intense shootouts. Locals on this island are asking you to take down the beast that lives in the middle of the forest. While completing side quests for various NPCs and collecting scraps to upgrade the speed, defenses, and firepower of your tiny yellow train, you’ll go head-to-head with Choo-Choo Charles himself. The creature’s distorted face emphasizes its rows of Pennywise-inspired teeth, and its spider legs help it close long distances in no time at all. Be careful while on your journey; you’ll have your work cut out for you. 

You will find a vast open-world with rain-damp deserts, flood-prone bayous and low-lit bayous. While on foot, you’re more vulnerable than ever, so you’ll have to sneak past Charles while also completing various objectives to progress the story. The race to survive is on when that hulking, man-faced monster spots you. When you’ve amassed enough materials to honestly give Charles a run for his (its?) You can challenge Charles the Evil One in a battle to the death by putting together enough money. 

Choo-Choo Charles will release the game in the first quarter 2022 for PC.
