Check Out Dr. Disrespect’s Upcoming Shooter, Deadrop, In New Gameplay Clips

Herschel Beahm IV (known as Dr. Disrespect) helped to form an “AAA gaming studio” in December last year with ex-Halo and Call of Duty developers. The studio was originally slated for a multiplayer shooter, and it is now known as Midnight Society. The details of the game have also been made public, with word spreading that it is a PvPvE extractor shooter. 

Now, Midnight Society’s first game has a name – Deadrop – and gameplay footage. These gameplay clips are from early users who have had access to the title. This is less a demo, vertical piece of gameplay and more a proof-of-concept. See it yourself by checking out the Tweets from Okami Games. 

The current game, as you can see from the screenshots, consists only of one weapon with a firing range. It is possible to see glimpses of its world design. It will be years before the game is released, but all indications point towards it being a long-term project. 

Unfortunately, there hasn’t been a lot of enthusiasm for the game. Beahm doesn’t help either. tweeted“I’m able to take a picture right now…blows anything out of the [Call of Duty]Engine” was removed in June, as this game’s visuals are not comparable to Call of Duty. It may one day. But that is yet to be determined.
