Certain Affinity, Longtime Halo Franchise Contributing Studio, Entrusted With Evolving Halo Infinite In ‘New And Exciting Ways’
Certain Affinity has announced its partnership with 343 Industries (and Xbox for Halo Infinite) to help develop all mainline Halo game titles.
These news are brought to you by a tweetThis statement was posted by the Certain Affinity Instagram account. It states that the studio “deepens” its relationships with Halo Infinite developer 343 Industry after over 15 years. Brian Jarrard, community director at 343 Industries made this announcement 11 days ago. Reddit AMA: SharedAs noted by, the team is unhappy that they are not meeting expectations from players and communities. Polygon.
In that same answer in the AMA, Jarrard said, “A lot of production planning, costing, planning, hiring, etc. It’s all going on which doesn’t lend itself to detailed, regular updates.” Jarrard also said that 343 Industries understands that “the community simply lacks patience” and is therefore understandably exhausted of words. Perhaps Certain Affinity is being brought in to work on Halo Infinite to push more exciting (and more frequent) updates for the shooter, or maybe Certain Affinity is coming in to be the support it sounds like 343 Industries needs at this moment for Halo Infinite.
For more information on what Certain Affinity might have to say about it, check out this announcement from the studio:
“We have been part of Halo Infinite for 15+ years. It’s an honor to share our deep relationship with 343 with whom we were entrusted with developing Halo Infinite into new, exciting ways.”
The studio link then takes you to the Certain Affinity Careers page. It asks people to “join our journey.” Who knows what this journey might be. Some speculate that Certain Affinity may be coming to Halo Infinite in order to host a Battle Royale. Others believe that the studio is being given the task of providing meaningful and more frequent updates for the multiplayer. We will wait to see what happens.
