Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance Sees Life On PC For The First Time

Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance is finally available on PC, following its earlier console re-release. It’s not the same sort of reboot as last summer. That’s Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, a very different game. We’re talking about the OG! This action RPG was released first on PlayStation 2 in 2001. Since then, it has seen ports on Xbox, Gamecube and Windows.

While its store description says it uses the 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons rule set, Dark Alliance plays out more like Diablo than the more strategic-feeling Baldur’s Gate titles. The three character classes of fighter, archer and sorceress will be represented. You’ll fight hordes mystical minions and take quests in Black Isle Studios’ Forgotten Realms.

The latest release offers higher resolutions, up to 4K!You can play solo, or with co-op. Full controller support is available on PC. If you prefer to play on consoles, then this article is for you. Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance is also available for Xbox Series X/S 5, Xbox One and Switch.

Now we patiently wait for Dark Alliance 2’s release on the current hardware. Once, again, we are not talking about a sequel to this summer’s game with a similar name.
