Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update forces full redownload to save space

All players that plan on continuing to play future content Assassin’s Creed ValhallaThe entire game will be re-downloaded. There’s a new 1.4.1 update being released next week that will force players to reinstall the entirety of the game. This is a good thing because the overall size of this game’s file will not matter on which platform it was installed.

The console will determine how small the file is. Xbox Series X users are likely to save more space than the rest, as the updated version of the game is 44 GB less. PlayStation 5 users will save the least, but they’ll still get a good chunk of free disc space with 13 GB cleared. Windows PC users can save 34GB; PlayStation 4 users save 30GB and Xbox One users save 30GB.

According to a post from the developers, the download is required as part of what they call “data restructuring.” According to the post, the newer version will basically consolidate files, which will result in a smaller overall game size. This update is also expected to improve performance.
