Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: The Hidden Codex Is A Viking-Centric Graphic Novel Out Next April
Game Informer Assassin’s Creed Valhalla : The Hidden Codex is a brand new graphic novel by Dark Horse Books. It will take players to the medieval Nordic world, a hidden order and back in time. The hardcover version will be available in stores and online on April 30th, 2024 for $19.99. Comic book shops are expected to receive it on May 1st, 2024. Mathieu Gabela is the writer, and Paolo Traisci provided the artwork.
Edward is a reluctant monk and scribe who escapes a Viking clan’s kidnapping. Edward, after securing freedom from a Viking clan kidnapping, discovers his missing brother and mysterious documents that are “blackened with a language which he understands innately.”
In a release, it was stated: “Nobody knows how these mysterious symbols were created. However, Edward has already seen similar writings in the Vikings’ workshop. This enigmatic and wise Viking is a part of a secret society called Those Undeseen.” The order is a secret society that can offer Edward answers and help him achieve his dreams of knowledge and freedom. With that knowledge can he rescue and find his brother before it is too late?
Etienne Bouvier is Ubisoft’s senior transmedia content director. He says Ubisoft was fortunate to be able to collaborate with Gabella & Traisci, who are both long-time fans of Assassin’s Creed. Their love and understanding of this franchise has been reflected in the book.
The Hidden Codex will be available on bookshelves, online and comic shops on April 30th 2024. Comic stores can expect it on May 1st. The game is currently available to pre-order for just $19.99.
