Assassin’s Creed Mirage Coming In October

Ubisoft showed off a new look at Assassin’s Creed Mirage at today’s PlayStation Showcase. The trailer features protagonist Basim, who leaps, slides and fights through the ancient streets in Baghdad.

Basim was introduced to Assassin’s Creed players in the earlier release of Valhalla, but this new game jumps back in time to an earlier time in the character’s life.

This action looks sleek and modern but it also brings to mind early games from the series when players would control Altair or Ezio and move through huge urban cityscapes. In particular, the new combat system features impressive combat animations. It is suggested in the trailer that players have many options in terms of how they approach missions. This includes clear choices outlined during pre-mission briefings, and then the opportunity to implement a plan.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is targeting release on October 12 for PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PC.
