Armored Core VI Fires Of Rubicon Gets A Grim New Story Trailer

Much has been made about Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon’s mech-based gameplay, but a new trailer shines a light on its narrative. This new look is not surprising, but it still has plenty of cinematic excitement. 

Fire of Rubicon, although it has “VI” as part of its title is actually a remake. Coral, the most valuable resource on Rubicon’s planet, caused a catastrophic disaster which engulfed it in flames. The contaminated world has now been condemned for decades, but Coral’s rediscovery has caused a new conflict on the world. In this epic conflict, players take control of mercenary C4-621 (or “Raven”), who finds himself in a battle between megacorporations and military forces. It’s not going to be pretty, judging by the somber tone of the trailer.
