Archeology coming to Minecraft 1.20

That title was correctly spelled, my dear reader. ArcheologyMinecraft is on the horizon! But that’s not all. We’re going to be revealing the remaining features for Minecraft 1.20, so keep your eyes on Minecraft.net and our social channels. Get ready to dig, dust off, and test all of the new features by downloading snapshots (betas) and previews. These will be delivered very shortly. It is just one iteration. As we develop the feature, there will be many more. Check out these instructions for installing snapshots, betas, and previews so you’re prepared when they make it to a device near you!

When you’re ready to get started with your new career as a Minecraft Archeologist, or M’archeologist as it’s known colloquially, head out to a nearby desert. That’s where the sand lives. Beaches can also have sand. They are very lucky. But we’re looking for a special type of sand today. Grab a good spot near the desert temples, and get started shoveling. We will continue our archeological work and add more dig sites. We welcome your comments and suggestions. Keep an eye out for new previews, betas, snapshots, and other information to be kept up to date about where we are digging!

While you’re digging, look out for a new block: suspicious sand! This is where you should tread with care, just like the name. Brush carefully. Archeology brings new tools and blocks to the table. The brush.Grab it and gently brush away the sand. You can then distract the whatever may be hiding inside. Ceramic shardsRandom objects
