Arc 3.0 Supers, Aspects, and Fragments revealed for Destiny 2

Finally, after many months of waiting the last update for Light subclasses is here Destiny 2 The Arc 3.0 Update. Bungie revealed the updated subclass in a blog post on its website Wednesday morning, but didn’t offer any footage. Arc 3.0 will be shown in action by players during the event. Arc 3.0’s new version is focused on mobility and getting up close and personal with your enemies. And like all the other 3.0 subclasses, Arc 3.0 comes with new effects (which Bungie calls “verbs”), Aspects, and Fragments to allow players to customize their kit around this new play style.

Let’s take a look at the new additions.

Verbs

Amplified is the biggest and most important verb with Arc 3.0, namely because it doesn’t require you to equip an Aspect or Fragment to activate it. Each Arc 3.0 class has Amplified as an inherent feature. Anyone can activate it simply by completing multi-kills using Arc abilities. You can activate Amplified through Aspects or Fragments in other ways.

Once Amplified, you’ll move faster and gain increased weapon handling. You’ll also be able to slide much farther than usual. You will be able to sprint for just a few seconds with Amplified, which gives you an extra speed boost and slide that is even more powerful.

Blind, JoltAnd Ionic TracesThese are some other terms that you should know about Arc 3.0. Blind and Jolt have no effect on your enemies, unlike Amplified. Ionic Traces are located in the middle. They can spawn from your enemies and abilities, but they also benefit you.

Blind works similarly to Void’s Suppress in PvE. Blinded enemies won’t be able to see you or use their weapons. In PvP, it’ll create a flashbang effect for enemy players.

The act of jolting your enemy will essentially make them electric. Jolting enemies with subsequent hits of electricity will produce damaging chain lightning effects on nearby targets.

Ionic Traces — which are currently only available for Arc Warlocks — will work similarly to how they have since their introduction in Forsaken, but they’ll be available to Hunters and Titans as well. You can get ability energy by picking up Ionic Traces left behind by enemies.

Hunter updates

Arc 3.0 has been embraced by the Hunters.

Hunters can block and redirect with their Arc Staff Super. Blink Teleportation will allow them to make a comeback to their original kit. Destiny. The subclass enhancements were also offered at a rough price. ForsakenArc Hunters now have an alternative Super named Gathering Storm.

Casting Gathering Storm allows Hunters to jump into the air, chucking their Arc Staff as a spear and jumping up. The staff is able to lodge itself in the ground, or even into enemy bodies. It also deals immediate damage. A lightning bolt will hit the staff shortly after it is inserted, overcharging it and creating temporary damage around it.

Three Arc Aspects are available to Hunters in order for them to alter their playing style.

  • Flow StateJolted enemies can be killed to amplify you. Amplified grants you increased reload times, faster dodge recharge and greater damage resistance.
  • Tempest StrikeWhen you are sliding, melt causes lightning waves to be sent out onto the ground. These can cause damage or Jolt enemies.
  • A Lethal CurrentDiffusing increases your range for melee attacks. This also Jolts targets, creating a lightning aftermath shock. Lethal Current increases your Arc Staff Super’s hit rate by making it twice as powerful. Also, Melee blinds Jolted enemies by attacking them with Melee.

Warlock Updates

Arc 3.0 is changing everything for Warlocks

Both Chaos Reach and Stormtrance will return, but the former will use a mixture of the Landfall or teleportation tree. The two Arc melee attacks that Warlocks have will be maintained by them, the first being a ball of lightning they can fire at enemy targets. First, they have the ability to fire a ball lightning at their enemies. They can also use the chain lightning ability to produce a network of lightning that will zap enemies.

Warlocks, however, have a different interaction with Amplified than other classes. The functionality of various Warlock abilities changes while Amplified is active. The chain lightning melee, for example, will hit more targets than the ball lightning melee.

Three Arc 3.0 aspects will be available to Warlocks

  • Arc SoulYou can cast a Rift to create an Arc Soul which will help you. Allies that step into your Rift gain an Arc Soul. Your Arc Soul will fire faster when Amplified is on. While allies are close, your Rift will recharge faster.
  • Lightning SurgeWhen you slide, activate your melee attack and transform into a ballof lightning. It teleports you forward and strikes any targets within the vicinity.
  • Electrostatic MindIonic Traces are created by killing enemies using Arc damage, or getting killed on targets that have been Arc-debuffed. You can also become amplified by collecting Ionic Traces.

Titan updates

Arc 3.0 will bring several important additions to Titans. Thundercrash, which is unaltered from the current version of its previous iteration), and Fist of Havoc are two Titan Supers that will be returning. Fist of Havoc 3.0, an Arc 3.0 variant of Fist of Havoc, will get the most out of both of its trees. It has a lingering Damage Field and aerial AoE.

The most notable change for Titans is Thruster. It sounds very similar to the original. Destiny’s Twilight Garrison Exotic (an Exotic that Bungie promised would never return, leading to some fans harassing the developers on Twitter). Thruster will allow players to increase their chances of success in a particular direction. This acts like an evade.

In addition to the original two Arc melees for Titans — Seismic Strike and Ballistic Slam — they’ll be getting a third melee option: Thunderclap. Thunderclap allows Titans to hold the melee button and charge an attack. However, they must be on the ground or standing still to use it. Letting the button go will deal lots of damage to the Titan’s opponent relative to the amount of time they charged the attack. If it’s charged for long enough, this attack can instantly kill an enemy Guardian in the Crucible.

Titans can also receive Arc 3.0 Aspects like the rest of the classes.

  • Touch of ThunderThe type and Arc of the grenades can be improved. The flashbang can blind enemies upon their first bounce. Pulse-grenades can create an Ionic Trace that will allow them to increase their damage over time. Lightning grenades can be charged twice and will jolt their targets. Storm grenades create a mobile cloud which tracks and zaps enemy.
  • Juggernaut: While sprinting with your class ability fully charged, you’ll gain a frontal shield that blocks damage (and it’s stronger when you’re Amplified). Your class ability energy will be depleted if enemies do enough damage to the shield.
  • Knockout: All melee hits will activate health regeneration, and you’ll be amplified. The melee range and damage of an enemy’s shield broken or severely wounded increases. Knockout causes melee damage to be counted as Arc damage.

Fragments

Bungie showed four Fragments that will be coming to Arc 3.0. Bungie will have a lot more Fragments, but Bungie has kept the rest under wraps.

  • Spark of Beacons: When you’re Amplified, Arc special weapon kills create a Blinding explosion.
  • A Spark of Resistance: When you’re surrounded, you gain increased damage resistance.
  • Spark of Momentum: If you slide over ammo, you’ll reload your weapon and gain melee energy. You’ll gain even more energy when sliding over heavy ammo.
  • The Spark of Surprise: Arc grenades are designed to shock enemies.

Arc 3.0 will be available alongsideDestiny 2The 18th season will be released on the 23rd of August. Destiny 2 Showcase.
