Apex Legends Hunted patch notes, release timing

Apex Legends’ new Hunted update is nearly here, and it brings with it a big map change, the usual balance updates, and a new playable Legend character. The update will begin the game’s 14th season, and will launch Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 10 a.m. PDT/1 p.m. EDT.

Here’s a look at all the major changes in the patch. Continue scrolling to find a comprehensive list of patch notes.

Vantage

Hunted’s newest Legend, Vantage, is undoubtedly the greatest addition. Vantage is an expert at taking out enemies far away with scoped guns and is joined by Echo, a bat friend.

Vantage’s passive gives her shots a bullet drop indicator, helping you hit long-ranged shots more easily. Echo Location, Vantage’s tactical ability allows her to maneuver Echo from one location to another and launch towards him. Finally, Vantage’s ultimate is Sniper’s Mark, which allows her to mark enemy targets, which offers bonus damage for your entire team.

Kings Canyon update

In this patch, Kings Canyon will see a substantial update. Namely, Skull Town and Thunderdome — areas that have been missing since season 5 — will make their triumphant return, giving players a new, yet familiar, place to battle it out.

Cap swelled

Players who’ve reached level 500 can now increase their level even further with three new tiers. This adds 345 more Apex Packs players can earn — assuming they put the time in to reach the new level cap of 500 Tier 3. This change does not affect the hardestcore players. Apex Players, it is a blessing for those who require it.

Changes in balance

The season of Apex LegendsThere are many changes made to Legends and weapons. The damage of the Bocek Compound bow is increasing, while the Wingman can now fire sniper ammunition. Mad Maggie, Newcastle, Valkyrie and Newcastle all get significant improvements to their multiple abilities.

NEW LEGEND

Vantage – Survivalist Sniper

Xiomara “Mara” Contreras is a survivalist who can see a threat coming from down her sniper scope from thousands of meters away. Born to a wrongfully-convicted criminal who gave birth to her alone on the barren ice planet Págos, Vantage has grown into the ultimate survivalist. Vantage was forced to survive off hostile territory and developed an incomparable skill with a scoped firearm.

PASSIVE: Spotter’s Lens

Use your eyepiece to aim down targets to scout.

TACTICAL: Echo Location

Place your winged friend Echo, and launch towards him. For Echo to launch, you must have line-of-sight.

ULTIMATE: Sniper’s Mark

You can use your custom-made sniper rifle for marking enemy targets, which will give you and your teammates a damage bonus.

UPDATE ON REFORGED CANYON

Loba caused a huge explosion that destroyed Thunderdome, Skull Town, and Thunderdome in Season 5. The Syndicate is now ready to rebuild the Apex Games area after the Salvage operation has been completed. A new battleground was created with the legendary skull as its center. LEVEL CAPACITY INCREASE

The account level limit can be increased to 500 by gaining 3 additional 500-level tiers. This brings the level total up to Tier 500 Tier 3. With this increase, players can now earn additional Apex Packs via account leveling. Account leveling now allows you to earn 544 Apex packs.

BATTLE PASS

Some Battle Pass challenges are now possible in both Battle Royale and Non-Battle Royale modes. You have the freedom to choose the Battle Royale option that suits you best.

Laser Vision

  • A new attachment replaces barrels on SMGs or Pistols.
  • Hipfire spread was reduced

Rotation of Crates

  • G7 Scout makes a comeback to the ground.
  • Volt SMG is back on the floor
  • Bocek Compound Bow is introduced into the crate.
  • Rampage LMG is introduced into the crate.

How to Create a Rotation

  • Wingman makes a return to the podium
  • The floor is back for CAR SMG

  • White: 1.1 to 1.

Bocek Compound bow

  • The damage to full draws increased from 60 to 70.
  • Tempo draw speed has increased to 0.38, from 0.32.
  • From 11, shattercaps pellet damage was increased to 12.
  • The collection of fired arrows is no longer possible.
  • All arrows spawns are now gone from the ground.

LMG Rampage

  • From 26 damage, 28 were now damaged.
  • Thermite Grenade comes along with Rampage

Volt SMG

  • Reduced damage to 15% from 17.

CAR SMG

  • Barrel attachments are no longer accepted.

G7 Scout

  • From 36, damage reduced to 34
  • The headshot multiplier has been reduced from 2.0 to 1.75
  • Double Tap jump-up burstfire delay raised to 0.4, from 0.375

LSTAR

  • Increased projectile velocity
  • Increased the number shots taken at base before heat is reached to 24 instead of 20.
  • Bright red flash removed when non-armored targets are hit.

RE-45

  • For consistency with other pistols the ironsight FOV has been increased to 70.
  • Consistent with other pistols, increased strafe speeds by 5%

Wingman

  • Wingman uses now sniper ammunition and magazines.

Sniper Ammo

  • The inventory of sniper ammo has increased from 24 to 28.
  • Now, sniper ammo boxes contain 14 rounds as opposed to 12.

Spitfire

  • To increase the vertical barrel climb, adjust your recoil.
  • Spitfire uses magazines and light ammunition now.

30- 30 Repeater

  • The base 30–30 Repeater has dual loader.
  • Skullpiercer Rifling is now.

Mastiff

  • Projectile growth reduced.
  • Reduced base fire rate to 1.1 instead of 1.2
  • Removed dual loader

Sentinel

  • Deadeye’s Tempo has been worked into the base Sentinel.

Hop-Ups

  • Double Tap
  • Adds burst mode to EVA-8 or G7 Scout.
  • Skullpiercer
  • Longbow, Wingman or 30-30 Repeater: 35% increase in headshot damage
  • Removed Deadeye’s Tempo & Shatter Caps from floor loot.

Backpack Gold Perk

  • New Perk: Deep Pockets.
  • Deep pockets: Medical supplies that are large stack higher in your stock.
  • Now, batteries and Medkits can stack up to three in stock
  • Phoenix Kits can now be stacked to up to two in stock

Knockdown Shield Gold Perk

  • New Perk: Guardian Angel (Previous Backpack Perk).
  • The game of Self Revive has been ended.

Arc Star

  • Stick damage to armor reduced from 40 to 10,
  • Take aim slowly on the stick.
  • From 70, detonation damage was increased to 75.

Explosive Holds

  • Attachments of blue to add potential spawns.
  • Addition of Laser Sights to pool
  • Gold magazines have lower spawn rates

LEGENDS

Valk

  • VTOL Jets
  • Faster activation reduced by around 8%
  • After activation, fuel consumption increased by 33%
  • Aerial boosting & strafing take a 20% debuff when hit by slowing effects.
  • Added a third orange state to the fuel meter UI between green (>60%) and red (<30%).
  • Missile Swarm
  • Taken out of the Aim/Turn Slow section.
  • Move slow duration decreased from 2.5s —> 2.0s.
  • Reducing the explosion radius from 175 —> 125.
  • Skyward Dive
  • Reduce height by 25%
  • Launch time reduced from 5.5s —> 5.0s. Players in Valk can now ascend at an increased speed due to the reduction of height. Very slightlyYou can go slower.

Horizon

  • Black Hole: Adjustments to N.E.W.T’s hitbox to make destroying it more reliable.
  • Black Hole: N.E.W.T. Takes 50% more damage than explosives

Wattson

  • Perimeter Security system improvements

Newcastle

  • Take care of the injured
  • The 25% increase in speed at which you can move during a revive is reflected in the increased velocity of your movements.
  • Turn slow down by half, while revitalizing by 50%
  • Increased White Knockdown shield health from 150 -> 200.
  • Increase Blue Knockdown shield health from 250 -> 300.
  • Mobile Shield:
  • Increased hp from 350 —> 500
  • Max movement speed doubled
  • Castle Wall
  • This increased electrical barrier effect’s turn-slowing and made it more severe.

Mad Maggie

  • Riot Drill
  • Doubled Projectile Launch Speed
  • The Wrecking Ball
  • The same amount of magnets will be dropped, but you’ll travel twice the distance.
  • Duration increased from 5 sec → 10 sec.
  • Magnet Spawn delay increased from 0.4 sec → 0.8 sec.
  • Wrecking ball will cause damage to the following enemy-placeable items: Black Market Castle Walls Exhibit Death Totem Mobile Shield Black Hole Amped Cover and Gas Barrels It will also destroy Gibraltar’s Dome of Protection.
  • Fixed Wrecking Ball does not blind or slow down enemies.

Rampart

  • Do not ignore friendly collisions on Amped Cover placement. Placing walls around colleagues will make it feel easier.

Caustic

  • Fixed gas ramping bugs where the transitioning of friendly to enemy gases would cause greater damage at first than was expected.

Mirage

  • Valk will be scanning Mirage Decoys during skydiving.
  • Mirage Decoys will now be picked up by Seer’s Heart Seeker.
  • Fixed a bug where Mirage Decoys were picked up by Seer’s Exhibit as AI and not players.

Renew

  • Death Totem will show a preview instead of placing right away when it is activated.

CRAFTING UPDATE

  • The team-use harvesters are when any player interacts with a Material Harvester. All other players on the team receive the Materials.
  • You can now remove the shatter rounds from your crafting.
  • Hammerpoints were removed from base crafting, and RE-45 Weapon craft was added.
  • The price of heavy, energy, and sniper mags increased to 35 dollars from 25.
  • Laser sight added to crafting: 25 materials
  • Reduced stock and barrel prices to 25 from 35
  • Skullpiercer Rigging Hop-Up now available for crafting
  • To craft, added Double Tap Trigger Hop up
  • You can now craft with the added Kinetic Feeder Hop Up
  • Shotgun bolt prices increased from 25 to 30, from 25.
  • ACOG Optic Price Reduced to 30 from 35

MAPS

The maps rotating for public matches during Hunted are; Kings Canyon, World’s Edge, and Storm Point.

ALL BATTLE ROYALE MAP

  • The maps have been adjusted to balance replicators and crafting materials.
  • Ring adjustment
  • Ring 1 damage increase of 2-3 hp/tick, equivalent to Ring 2.
  • Ring 1 Preshrink time decreased from 180s a 60s
  • Ring 1 Closing time:
  • Kings Canyon — 4:10 -> 4:32
  • World’s Edge — 3:42 -> 4:32
  • Storm Point — 4:15 -> 4:35
  • Olympus — 4:10 -> 4:32

WORLD’S EDGE

  • Staging final rings removed. They were frustrating and causing healing problems.
  • You can buff Fragment East Loot from Low Tier up to Medium. .
  • OOB added for west rocks at Lava Siphon

QUALITY OF LIFE

  • Map name/New Mode UI element at load screen, and flow.
  • “Winning” and “Champion” tags added to the scoreboard.
  • Added ability to use “tap” interact prompts when they conflict with “hold” (e.g. Reloading close to downed colleagues is now much more reliable with controller.
  • The crafting materials are highlighted in the upper right corner of the HUD to add a little flair when they grow.
  • Added a special flourish to craftable items when they’re created in the crafting station UI.
  • Accessibility switch to turn on or off TTS (Text to Speech) (or to default to the setting that your system or console has set it to, where available).
  • Dropping from the dropship displays the POI players’ location.

BUG FIXES

  • Now, Hipfire reticles can be sized based on FoV
  • Fixed bug in which cancelling a Lifeline revival would cause it to be cancelled for all teammates who were also revived by Lifeline.
  • Fixed bug that prevented players from dealing melee damage to Octanes Jump Pads or Caustic Gas Barrels.
  • This issue was fixed. The buy menu would be closed each time that a teammate makes a purchase.
  • Crypto’s Ultimate now destroys Wattson’s Pylon.
  • Fix for issue where Crypto’s heirloom animation audio would play globally when using a survey beacon.
  • This issue was fixed where players might get trapped between a Replicator or Black Market when crafting.
  • Fixed bug where players could not unlock the “Fully Kitted” badge.
  • Fixed an issue with Legends losing functionality such as meleeing or using an ability while manipulating.
  • Fixed bug that prevented players from switching ammo types in the C.A.R. SMG.
  • Newcastle — fix for issue where Newcastle could get stuck in their Ultimate animation while riding a zipline.
  • Newcastle — fixed bug where throwables placed on a Mobile Shield would start floating after the Mobile Shield disappears.
  • Newcastle — fix for cases where players wouldn’t take damage from ordnance or activate Caustic’s barrels when positioned between a Tactical Shield and its drone.
  • Newcastle — fix for bug where throwable abilities placed on a Mobile Shield could float away after the Mobile Shield disappears.
  • Wraith — fix for bug where Wraith would still take damage in the Ring while phasing.
  • Reload bug fixed for the Mastiff & 30-30 Repeater. Players could not ADS before the reload animation had finished.
  • Fixed bug where Crypto’s melee animations wouldn’t show his heirloom while in third person.
  • Vending Machines in Big Maude are now protected by buyers
  • An issue that caused framerate spikes or stuttering in consoles such as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S was fixed.
  • Repair for bug that caused Dropship to sometimes spawn players from outside the ship.
  • A bug was fixed where Heat Shields disappeared when they were placed under a mobile respawn beacon or mobile respawn beacon. The beacon was then used.
  • Fixed a bug where Pathfinder’s zipline would be destroyed if placed on top of a respawn beacon and then the beacon was used.
  • This fix is for Heat Shields that could vanish if activated under Respawn Beacons.
  • Repair for bug in which Mirage decoys did not appear on scans of a few Legends.
