An Insider’s Guide for the First Hours of Playing Unexplored 2
Summary
- You will embark on a noble quest through a vibrant world full of magic and adventure.
- An open-world procedural RPG that has a tabletop feel.
- Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S.
So, you’ve reached Haven, talked to the Head Loremaster and finished the prologue. This is the world of Unexplored 2Your future lies right at your fingertips. Setting sensible goals can seem daunting in an environment that’s both vast and unique. These are my five recommendations for starting to explore the world of this game.
1. Visit Temple Jetbeak

The Loremaster devises a strategy that will ultimately lead to the downfall of the Staff at Yendor. First, you must travel to Temple Jetbeak to find clues about the First Valley. This is the best place to begin if you are looking for the main quest.
It should be easy to get to Temple Jetbeak, although the distance can differ between worlds. If it is a long journey, you might want to talk to the traveling traders found near Haven’s entrance. If you’re willing to pay them, these traders can often take you safely to a nearby temple.
2. Retour to the Garden

The Garden of Yendor is where you find the Staff during the prologue, and which you flee from when it’s attacked by the Empire. It is much more than you may think. During the prologue you’re only allowed to escape, but there are two more levels to explore.
The imperials still exist, so there’s no reason to leave. You might be told by the Task Master that you can find the Raaf Key in the Garden. That key will prove to be very useful when you go out and explore all the Raaf Temples spread across the country. It’s also not the only treasure you may find hidden there. The history of the Staff is also tied to the Garden, making it a great place to explore.
3. Get to know a clan

Raafi are not the only ones who face threat from the Empire. There are a few clans scattered throughout the country that can help you on your journey. This is a great alternative as it can lead to long-term, subtle gains.
You will have to give a gift and pass a fortune-test to become a friend of a clan. You can find maps and tomes to possible mines all over the country, so you might be able to give them gifts that are suitable. You can find helpful information in the form of a Raafi scholar in every clan village.
It is best to start by walking to one village, but preferably one close enough to avoid being disgruntled. It is safest to take a ride on a travel merchant to get to villages.
4. Look for Sigils

A key way to progress is through Unexplored 2This is done by creating magic items. To this end you’ll need sigils. Although sigils are available in many locations, their availability is limited. A sigil can be used to make any good-quality item. There is a forge in the vault in Haven, but you’ll frequently come across others in ancient ruins.
The sigils can power magical items as well as ancient machinery that was left behind by Marang. The form sigil powers the Haven forge, and all other working forges around the globe. It is worth looking out for these machines when searching for sigils. These machines can all be powered with sigils. But these machines have their purpose. They were built by the Marang for a reason. It might not be in your best interests to grab every sigil that is available to power magical items.
5. Explore the World

Unexplored 2It’s a game of exploration and travel. You will find many interesting things, some of which may only be an indirect influence on your quest. Just by simply exploring the world and learning how it works is rewarding. You haven’t truly experienced the game fully if you haven’t braved the arid wastes of a red sand desert; if you haven’t blinked between two spires in a dandelion highland; if you haven’t controlled a sky sprite to summon a lightning storm.
It is a good idea to plan ahead for long trips. Heavy armor can also be as essential as travel gear. You should stop and rest when you feel tired. If you can, go foraging for food whenever you get the chance. Before you set out on your journey, take a look at the map and talk with locals. They might know where rivers, mountains or good rest spots are. You have the world at your fingertips. Enjoy!

Unexplored 2, creates an expansive, rich fantasy realm for you to discover. The game’s permadeath twist is unique: while your character might die, the world could continue to exist. It is an ambitious procedural action-RPG that doesn’t require grind, gold, or xp. The story revolves around your decisions and the consequences they have on history. As the titular Wayfarer you take on the quest to destroy the Staff of Yendor, for which you’ll have to traverse your world. Along the way you’ll meet tribes, encounter magical creatures and explore ancient ruins to discover mythical weapons and historic items.
You will likely die frequently because the game can be difficult. Sometimes you may not make the right choice. You might take on too many creatures or fail to prepare enough food for a trip through the desert. Whatever the reason, when your character dies, they’re gone. You can’t save or quickload.
You can also choose to go on with your adventures in the same universe, but that will take place a few years later. You will see the results of your choices as your new adventurer. Items can be left in safe places so they are available for the next Wayfarer.
It is possible to complete your quest to defeat the Staff at Yendor by combining multiple Wayfarers from the same universe. Your world will end if you are killed during your last mission. Permanently.
Make sure that you’re well prepared and are familiar with the most important part of the adventure.
The world you created when it fails vanishes. Only thing that remains is to create a new world, with its own history and start the journey again.
