Amazon Luna now available to U.S. subscribers for $10 a month

Amazon Luna, the retail behemoth’s cloud gaming service which launched in early access in October 2020, is now available everywhere in the mainland United States. Luna will offer à la carte subscriptions to five channels, and Amazon Prime members get access to a monthly rotation of games included with that subscription.

Luna, previously available by invitation only (from a public sign-up page), will also add two channels to its existing lineup of Luna Plus, Ubisoft Plus, and Luna’s Family Channel. Retro Channel will be the new subscriber. Its lineup features titles such as Street Fighter 2 And Metal Slug 3Subscribers can also invite other subscribers to the Jackbox Games Channel.

Luna Plus cost $9.99 per month. Family Channel costs $5.99 per month. Retro and Jackbox Games channel costs $4.99 per month. Ubisoft Plus via Amazon Luna cost $17.99 per monthly (same price as Google Stadia customers). Amazon Prime is $139/year and $14.99 per months. Prime Video includes free shipping.

Early Access subscribers to Luna can lock in their original pricing — $5.99 for Luna Plus and $2.99 for Family Channel — if they sign up for either service before March 31, and for as long as they maintain that subscription.

Luna access is available to Prime Gaming Channel’s new channel. Devil May Cry 5; Observer: System Redux; PHOGS!; And Flashback. From March 8 to March 14, Prime subscribers can also play Ubisoft’s Immortals Fenyx Rising. Jackbox Games Channel gives you access to eight Jackbox Party Packs that were launched between 2014 and 2018. (An additional Jackbox Party Pack is scheduled to be released in February 2022).

In a news release, Amazon said an update to Luna’s client on PC and Mac going live on Tuesday, will enable one-click live streaming of games. To stream games, Fire TV users can also use the QR code. Users can also use the Luna Controller app for iOS or Android to transform their mobile devices into Luna Controllers and fire TVs.

Amazon Luna was launched on October 21, 2020. It is now available for Windows PCs, Macs, Fire TV, Android and iOS. Ubisoft Plus, formerly Uplay Plus joined Luna late that month. This service is compatible with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 gamingpads. It also provides a $49.99 proprietary dual-analog Luna control.
