Age Of Empires II: Definitive Edition And Age Of Empires IV Will Hit Xbox Next Year

Xbox will soon have some of the Age of Empires games.

Age of Empires II Definitive Edition is the new 2019 Xbox remaster of 1999 Age of Empires II. It will arrive on Xbox consoles January 31, 2023. Age of Empires IV will follow later in the year. The announcement was made today in conjunction with other Age of Empires related news.

Xbox, World’s Edge, and Relic Entertainment have also revealed Age of Mythology Retold, a definitive edition of the Age of Empires spin-off series first released in 2002. Below is the reveal trailer.

According to the announcement, “Age of Mythology Retold has begun production.” We are aware that many people in Age of Mythology have been waiting to see a Definitive Edition. And we will deliver. “We are working tirelessly to give you the best of the original with new graphics, features and other enhancements.”
