After Us Is An Abstract Post-Human Adventure Coming Next Year

Piccolo Studio, the makers of 2019’s Arise: A Simple Story, unveiled its next project, After Us, during The Game Awards.

Set on a dead Earth after the extinction of humans and wildlife, players control Gaia, the Spirit of Life, who must recover what’s left by restoring the souls of perished animals while learning how they met their fate. The Devourers, dangerous and oil-soaked creatures that have ravaged the planet, are now invading the area. Gaia will need to deal with them as they try to rid the world of all their corruption. The main focus of After Us is traversal. Gaia has the ability to glide, jump and dash through abstract environments while spreading beauty.  

After Us will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
