Cookie Run: Kingdom characters ranked by how cool they look

There are many things to be thankful for in the world Cookie Run: KingdomThere are plenty of sweets. Sweet treats are the theme of this free-to-play video game. Many of the characters’ designs were inspired by cookies and other sweet treats, such as cakes and eclairs. The fun part is in unlocking more Cookies to grow your kingdom. Each of them has different skills, which is good for a balanced team when you’re going on runs — plus they each have a unique look based on the kind of sweet they are.

But these cookies can do much more than satisfy cravings. Many people find them to be thirsty. Yup, that’s right. They are hot. (And not just because they’re fresh out of the oven.) Whether it’s sending tweets calling the Tea Knight Cookie a “DILF” and “daddy,” or virtual screaming about videos of Espresso Cookie with his shirt unbuttoned, the Cookies have inspired a lot of fan art with their fun designs.

Polygon interviewed Devsisters about the design and whether the cookie was intentionally hot. A representative told Polygon that Cookies are designed to look like cookies with human traits, but what the team cares most about is creating Cookies that “people can relate to and love.” What that love looks like, however, is up to fans to decide. So we decided to round up the hottest cookies in celebration of Valentine’s Day this year.

Mint Choco Cookie

Mint Choco Cookie is a favorite of mine. He’s just a dreamboat who is literally winking in his character art. His official character description even reveals that his musical talents and “dashing looks make him a favorite among the Cookies.” Humble in nature, Mint Choco Cookie is the full package, putting him on the top spot on this list.

Espresso Cookie

Polygon asked developers their favorites Cookies and they replied that Espresso Cookie was one of their top two characters. The Devsisters account even posted an image of Espresso Cookie with a loose tie and unbuttoned shirt. Espresso Cookie is insufferable (but I could never hate him) because he’s cute and knows it. This makes him the second most popular on our list. His large glasses and sleepy eyes are hot, just like his coffee.

Frost Queen Cookie

In one sense Frost Queen Cookie is the least “hot” character on this list. Frost Queen Cookie is the literal Ice Queen in the World of Cookie Run: Kingdom. She can use her piercing cold to attack her foes in fights. However, I’m obsessed with how much of her personality is conveyed through her design. Despite being a tiny cookie, she is absolutely looking down on you, and wouldn’t hesitate to step on you. This is her third entry. She’s both powerful and mysterious.

Almond Cookies

When building your team for battle, you’re going to want to put Almond Cookie in the rear. (That’s because he’s a support character, wink.) Almond Cookie is a character I was familiar with before I began playing the game. He’s a dashing detective who is always ready to help his fellow Cookies, no matter how tired he is. His handsomely grilled look is only enhanced by his seasoned features. This and his rough almond texture earned him number four on the list.

Herb Cookie

Herb Cookie, a gentle and kind soul, loves to garden. According to his game description he’s, “Warm like the sunshine and fresh like the scent of rain.” With his big eyes and windswept bangs, Herb is a heartthrob through and through, making him my fifth hottest cookie on this list.

Tea Knight Cookie

Tea Knight Cookie is your tough knight in shining armour. His face is more scarred from battle than it appears, but this only enhances his overall appearance. He’s a giant in the world of the game, and has the most overly buff shoulders of any of the Cookies. He earns the title of “daddy” and because of this, he earns the number six spot on this list.

Sea Fairy Cookie

Sea Fairy Cookie, the sweetie of all things sea is Sea Fairy Cookie. Cookie Run: Kingdom universe. It’s hard to believe she is a dreamy beauty. She wears sparkling water and wields an emerald-like sword. As a quieter type, she’s charmed me enough to earn her the seventh spot on this list.

Eclair Cookie is a delicious treat for intellectuals. He’s a museum curator, who will help enrich your life. His monocle and feathered cap are impeccable and he is considered one of the most stylish Cookies. This pretty boy’s design puts him at the number eight spot of this list.

Latte Cookie

Because all of the characters that are coffee-inspired look so adorable, it seems the developers may have preferential treatment for coffee-based cookies. Latte Cookies is smart and stylish. A professor at the “Parfaedia Institute” she instructs cookies in the delicate art of making coffee. She’s serving hot, milky coffee, and I’m absolutely drinking. This is her final place on the list.
