Back 4 Blood free update brings stat tracking, progression to solo play

Turtle Rock Studios offers The Back Four Blood According to the post-launch content roadmap, the studio announced Monday that a single offline mode will be available. It includes campaign progression. This mode will be available in an update at no cost until the end of 2021.

We found the solo PvE game to not be as threatening as it warns. However, we felt that the screen did not provide enough information about stat tracking and how players are progressing towards Accomplishments. Their not-unfounded assumption was that the restrictions were Turtle Rock’s way of driving folks to multiplayer as the intended experience.

The solo offline mode will come in December’s free update, along with new supply lines, new cards, and more. A November free update will include the solo offline mode, new supply lines and more. The Back Four Blood patch that vaguely promises “quality of life improvements” and “major bug fixes.” For free content in 2022, Turtle Rock Studios is eyeing a new difficulty mode, a new co-op mode, and more cards, among other improvement.

The Back Four Blood also has three premium expansions for the game’s annual pass buyers. First one will be called Tunnels of Terror. This expansion, along with the two untitled extensions, all have launch windows of 2022. You will find new Cleaners, Ridden enemies and new weapons, cards and skins.

The Back Four Blood’s annual pass is $39.99 separately; those who bought either the $89.99 or $99.99 Deluxe and Ultimate editions got the pass included. The expansions will not be sold a la carte by Turtle Rock or Warner Bros. Games, it is unclear. The Back Four Blood Xbox Game Pass also launched this day and it is now available to console and PC subscriptions.
