Donation box — Animal Crossing: New Horizons guide
It is expansive Animal Crossing New Horizons 2This is a.0 update brought a new item to make players’ island lives easier: a Donation box. The wooden furniture allows you to make donations and collect them from the islanders.
Find the right donation box
This DIY donation box recipe can be found at Nook Stop ATMThe resident center is located under the Redeem nook miles section, and it’s available as soon as you download and install the 2.0 update. You can find the The Donation box recipeThe player will receive the item immediately for 800 Nook Miles.
The recipe costs only four hardwood and four wood to construct. A donation box is customizable with three different finishes and three embellishing stickers.

For what purpose is the donation container?
After construction, the donation box may be located anywhere on an island. When players interact with it, it asks if you’d like to make a 1.000 bell donation. If money is found in the donation box the player can take the bells out.
It seems that the donation box will prove to be an effective way for players to say thank you for their time, but be concerned about whether they might be able to see it. (Think of all those times you may have left a tip on during someone’s turnip spike when they were kind enough to open their gates to the world.)

Upon testing it, we found a visiting player that came via a Dodo Code could donate 1,000 bells at a time, and upon doing so, would say, “I deposited some bells!” The only downside? There isn’t any way to edit the amount you donate, so leaving a lot of money securely would take a lot of time. It is safer than leaving the bell bag out on the ground, hoping that the best.
