Xbox Insider Release Notes – Beta (2310.231001-2200)

Hello Xbox Insiders. A new Xbox Update preview is coming soon to the beta ring. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. You can find the full details below.

Xbox Insider Release Notes

System Update Details:

  • OS Released Version: XB_FLT_2310ZN25398.2468.231001-2200
  • Available: 2 p.m. PT – October 5, 2023
  • Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – October 6, 2023

Fixed

We are pleased to announce that the following improvements have been made to this build thanks to the efforts of Xbox engineers:

The system is a

  • The console has been updated to correctly reflect all local languages.
    • Notes: Users participating in Preview may see “odd” text across the console, for more information go here.

Problems that are already known

Some issues may have already been addressed in prior Xbox Insider Release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Audiences can be heard by clicking on the following link:

  • There have been reports that users are experiencing audio problems intermittently across all dashboards, apps, and games. Verify that you are using the most recent firmware update for your TV or other equipment if you’re experiencing issues. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
    • Notes: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Include as much detail as you can:
      • When was the problem first raised?
      • Do you only lose audio in games/apps or also the system audio?
      • Is it possible to fix the problem by changing the format of the audio? How did the previous and new formats compare?
      • Rebooting the computer fixes this issue.
      • What’s included in your setup? Equipment, layout, etc.
      • You can also provide additional information to try and reproduce the error.

Installation

  • Microsoft Store is stuck on 100% during updates/installations. We’re investigating these reports. Please report this problem via the Report a Problem page if you have experienced it.
    • WorkaroundThis is the first step. Close the Microsoft Store if it has been recently opened. Press the Menu button, then select Quit. Then, stop and restart the update. If this behavior continues, you can restart the console using the Power Center. Find out how to reset or power cycle the Xbox.

Xbox Controllers: Keyboard button mapping

  • The change in keyboard language will take effect after you close the Xbox Accessories App or reboot your console.

Manage Queue

  • When the queue is empty, the border around “When games and apps are installing, you’ll see them here” may appear to extend off-screen. The problem is currently being addressed.

Networking

  • We’re investigating reports that the console might not be able to connect with their network at boot. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
  • WorkaroundWait one minute until your console connects. If your console still hasn’t connected, restart your Xbox from the Power Center or the guide. Find out how to power cycle or restart your Xbox here.

Use only the best quality Report a problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
