Temtem Showdown Is A Free Standalone Battle-Focused Game And It’s Out Now

Temtem Showdown by Humble Games, together with developer Crema, is now available. 

The surprise announcement comes just a little over a year since the release of Temtem 1.0, the base game for Showdown. Temtem Showdown has a similar focus on battling as Pokemon Showdown. The game is also available for free. 

A press release states that “Temtem Showdown brings the most competitive Temtem action to everyone.” “Get to know the colorful critters from the massively multiplayer creature-collection adventure, build your team in seconds, and dash into battle to test it out against other players and their teams – or carefully curate a plan of action to overpower your opponents.” 

Showdown allows you to create a team straight away. Unlike Temtem (a Pokemon-like multiplayer game), where players catch Temtem and train them for 2v2 battles, this version of the game lets users build teams from scratch. You can then jump into battles without worrying about the level of your opponent, as you would in the original game. The game allows you to play with other players in a casual or competitive setting. Competitive play will have a ranking system, as well as a ladder that can be climbed. 

Crema Says Showdown receives regular patches for balance to maintain the meta, while new Seasons bring in additional content.
