Hinox locations, how to defeat Hinox in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

This cyclopean monster follows a fairly straightforward attack pattern, and shouldn’t present too much of an issue if you’re in the mid-game and have decent gear. As long as you remember to pack a bow, a bunch of arrows, and a few strong melee weapons, you’ll be fine.


Find Hinox on Tears of the Kingdom

The Hinox is available in several different models. Tears of KingdomThe easiest place to locate it is the Rowan Plain. It’s located east of Forgotten Temple, and west of Kiuyoyou Shrine. It is shown on the below map.

The best thing about taking down this Hinox is that it’s taking a nap, meaning that you can almost always get the jump on it.

Tears of the Kingdom: Hinox – How to defeat it

First, make sure you’re prepared. At the very least, you’re going to need Arrows are a powerful weapon. We have used a powerful Lynel bow The u. Stone Talus hammer. And it was gone in under one minute.

The real battle begins once the Hinox stands up. As it rises up, switch to your bow and run backwards. Then take aim. It’s a fairly slow-moving enemy at this point, with a slow turning circle. When you spot the blue in its eye, your arrow will be able to deliver a hail of righteous vengeance. You can also stick an a Bomb flowerYou can use a standard arrow, like you see on the screenshot.

This will make the Hinox cover its eye and stumble backwards, stunned, giving you’re a brief window (around five seconds) to attack unimpeded. Attack its legs until you kill it. With a decent melee weapon, you won’t need more than one arrow to take down this monster.


What benefits do Hinox offer?

As you can see in the screenshot below, Hinox will drop a variety of items after you have defeated it. The items will include a monster part or two, as well as some bits of fruit.

Hinox defeated leaves behind a drop of fruit, which includes Apple, Wildberry, The voltfruit, palm fruit, mighty bananasThen, Fortified Pumpkin. The fruit that you receive is completely random.
