Frox locations, how to beat Frox in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

It’s literally covered in darkness. While these gigantic, tusked, frog-like monsters may seem intimidating at first, they’re surprising quick to take down once you know what you’re doing, and if you come prepared.
Fortunately, the Frox shares a similarities with the Battle Talus and Stone Talus enemies when it comes to strategies, so if you’re already comfortable with the big brutes, you’re already in good stead. The Frox also has less life, which is great.
The biggest issue, of course, is the location — because, to quote Jamiroquai, we’re going deeper underground (than you would for the Talus enemies).
Find Frox on Tears of the Kingdom
The following are some of the many possibilities. FroxThe easiest to locate is the one that lies north of the Great Abandoned Mine and almost immediately below the Hyrule Field Skyview Tower.

Nihcayam Lightroot or Nogukoyk Lightroot are your nearest points of travel. Thanks to their size, they’re pretty tough to miss.
Frox and Tears of the Kingdom: How to beat them
First, make sure you’re prepared. At the very least, you’re going to need Arrows, a hammer and an axe. Bring some if you want a life that is easy. Bomb flowersBut this is not necessary.
The boss is the same in both parts. First, you have to stun it and then you must wallop it.
To stun it, the first thing you should do is go on defense. Frox has two main attacks: the body slam — simply run out of the way of that — and what can only be described as “the Kirby.”

If you find yourself getting sucked into the Frox’s gaping maw, you can do your best to sprint away, but the chances are you won’t manage. You should instead turn around and aim at it. Bomb arrowIt will spit out a satisfying sound. You’ll hear a satisfying GlugYou can smirk and watch as the bomb explodes inside the stomach of the monster.
It can be stunned in the same way as with the Hinox. Shoot the big yellow eye if you spot it. The Frox will fall to the ground.

The next step remains the same, regardless of how you decide to stun Frox. Search for large, black pieces of rock on the back. You remember that hammer? It’s time to go Zoanite mining.

Keep smacking those rocks until they break — this is the quickest way to deal massive damage. It’s possible to remove two or three chunks of rock with a good hammer. (We used the Stone Talus Hammer).
You don’t, strictly speaking, need to break all of the rocks if you hit it in the eye enough times, but you should be able to break them all after just two stuns.

What can you do with Frox Fang?
Unlike the Flux Construct or the Stone Talus, the Frox doesn’t drop anything that you can only Fuse to a weapon — everything it drops can be picked up. However, because of the nature of the fight, you’ll probably find that the items dropped are a little more widespread than usual.
