Dune 2 trailer: Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and Florence Pugh go to war

At long last, more than a year and a half after the thunderous reception to 2021’s Dune Part One, the first trailer for the sequel to Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic has finally emerged. First teased on Monday, the trailer for Part two of Dune sees the return of Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, son of the late Duke Leto Atreides (Oscar Isaac), now living in hiding among the native Fremen tribes of Arrakis from his family’s long-time enemy, House Harkonnen.

Paul, dressed in a Fremen-style stillsuit, opens the trailer by explaining to Zendaya that Arrakis could look like if it were covered with water. Florence Pugh then talks to Zendaya about Paul, and what dangers he could pose to Arrakis.

The Dune Part DeuxAlso brings back stars Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, David Dastmalchian, Javier Bardem, Stephen McKinley Henderson, and Charlotte Rampling, who are set to reprise their roles from the first movie. Christopher Walken will be joining the cast of the sequel to play Shaddam IV the Emperor and his daughter, Princess Irulan. Austin Butler is the star of Elvis fame, will appear as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, the nephew of Duke Vladimir Harkonnen and the film’s main antagonist.

Dune Part Two The film will be released in cinemas on November 3.
