Octopath Traveler 2 complete map

Octopath Traveler 2 takes place in Solistia, a huge world that’s split into eight different areas. It can be tough to navigate the world, especially if you’re trying to find all of the different secrets and items.

Here’s a few things to know about the map:

It is possible to travel quickly from any icon indicated by houses but not to the cathedral.
Each section is divided by dotted lines. There will be altars for characters that start within these borders.
Some areas require a boat. You will unlock the boat as part of Partitio’s story.
Your mini-map/radar will display most routes. They are indicated with dungeon icons, which indicate mountains, castles and trees. If you prefer, another diamond icon.
The checkered flag icon indicates a guild and allows you to unlock additional jobs. The secret jobs may not require you to join a guild.
Altars will be indicated with a series of pillars having a rounded bottom. EX Skills can only be unlocked in altars by characters who have the primary occupation of that altar.
