Here Are The Exclusive PlayStation Bonuses For Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is finally out and Infinity Ward has updated the game’s website to include a page all about playing the game on PlayStation 5. It includes a look at all the exclusive bonuses PlayStation players get for playing the game on that platform, too, as reported by Video Games Chronicle

If you’re familiar with PlayStation’s usual bonuses for Call of Duty players, you likely won’t be surprised by this year’s exclusives, but new players will find that it’s actually quite a lot. This is what PlayStation users are receiving:

  • Battle Pass Bundle bonusPlayStation 2 players who buy a Battle Pass Bundle can unlock new gear faster. They will also get five tier skips. There are 25 total tier skips.
  • Double the XP PointsPlayStation 2 players will be able to enjoy special Monthly Double XP events of 24 hour duration.
  • The Combat PackCall of Duty: Modern Warfare II: A free bundle in-game This includes items such as an Operator skin, Weapon Blueprint and Emblem. PlayStation Plus Members Only.
  • PlayStation Party BonusTeamwork is key to making dreams come true. PlayStation party players receive +25% weapon XP. This bonus is still valid when you play with other PlayStation players.
  • Extra LoadoutsYou should be prepared for anything. PlayStation 2 players have an extra loadout slot, which can be used for customizing. After reaching level 4, Create-A-Class is available.

That’s a huge amount for PlayStation gamers, as you can see. PlayStation is mocking Xbox over its planned acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The company will claim that PlayStation players won’t get the title if it acquires them (and therefore Call of Duty as a First-Party Title). Or at least that Xbox users will be better off. PlayStation says this in order to stop the official acquisition…while giving PlayStation players exclusive bonuses for Modern Warfare II.

Speaking of that, PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan recently revealed that if Xbox acquires Activision Blizzard, Call of Duty will remain on PlayStation platforms for three years after the current standing agreement expires. Be sure to check out the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II launch trailer before jumping in.
