Here Are The Exclusive PlayStation Bonuses For Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is finally out and Infinity Ward has updated the game’s website to include a page all about playing the game on PlayStation 5. It includes a look at all the exclusive bonuses PlayStation players get for playing the game on that platform, too, as reported by Video Games Chronicle

If you’re familiar with PlayStation’s usual bonuses for Call of Duty players, you likely won’t be surprised by this year’s exclusives, but new players will find that it’s actually quite a lot. This is what PlayStation users are receiving:

  • Battle Pass Bundle DiscountPlayStation gamers who purchase the Battle Pass Bundle get 5 additional tier skips. There are 25 total tier skips.
  • Double the XP PointsPlayStation 2 players will be able to enjoy special Monthly Double XP events of 24 hour duration.
  • The Combat PackCall of Duty: Modern Warfare II Season: Receive a Free In-Game Bundle You get an Operator Skin and Weapon Blueprint as well as Emblems. PlayStation Plus Members Only.
  • PlayStation Party BonusThe dream is possible when you work together. PlayStation party players receive +25% weapon XP. You can still get the bonus if you are playing cross-platform.
  • Extra LoadoutsPrepare for every scenario PlayStation gamers get 2 additional loadout slots that can be customized. After reaching level 4, Create-A-Class is available.

This is a significant amount of money for PlayStation users, as you’ll see. PlayStation is mocking Xbox over its planned acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The company will claim that PlayStation players won’t get the title if it acquires them (and therefore Call of Duty as a First-Party Title). Or at least that Xbox users will be better off. PlayStation claims this to try and block the acquisition in formal proceedings. However, it also gives players special bonuses for Modern Warfare II.

Speaking of that, PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan recently revealed that if Xbox acquires Activision Blizzard, Call of Duty will remain on PlayStation platforms for three years after the current standing agreement expires. Be sure to check out the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II launch trailer before jumping in.
