Genshin Impact’s new Four-Leaf Sigil makes me feel like Spider-Man
Climb the sheer, sloping, mountainous cliffs of a long-abandoned mine, jog through the dark, torch-lit rocky tunnel, and you’ll emerge into a lush green jungle in Genshin Impact’s new Sumeru region. In the middle of your initial steps to entering the region, you will see a four-leaf symbol in the skies. Your anime-style character transforms into an animated ball that glows gold. Then, you can zip towards the icon by pressing the appropriate buttons. I felt light after hearing my character run and climb, and then using the Four-Leaf Signil made me feel lighter.
Named for its clover-like appearance, the Four-Leaf Sigil is a feature in 3.0 Sumeru’s open-world exploration game. It allows you to fly through the air, speeding along twisting jungle paths and allowing you to interact with it. Flying can be a chore as you move from one place to the next. It was so easy to follow a curve river, that I didn’t realize I needed to unlock a waypoint.
It is part of the Tuesday patch. The 3.0 Sumeru update has brought plenty of new features to the game — a lush new region to explore, new characters, and a new story. While all these new features are welcome, the addition of these beautiful Sigils is a great example of how far this game has come.
Genshin Impact It is an open-world, live-service game. This works well because we are able to explore more of the world as time passes. It’s almost like the game gets larger, with a growing number of areas to explore. As the game has expanded from its already ambitious start, we’ve seen the developers not just grow the size of the game but consistently refine mechanics from region to region.
Similar features were found in other regions such as the Inazuma stormy islands chain. This works similar to the Four-Leaf Sigil, allowing you to travel fast, soar in the sky and collect an Electrogranum to be able to fly. The item was also lost after only 15 seconds. The Four-Leaf Sigil doesn’t use a tiny time-restricted item that requires people to stress over managing the countdown. Flying is possible.
I love it so much that I’ve even started fantasizing about other spots in old regions that could benefit from it. Of course, I wouldn’t expect developers to backtrack and add them to previous regions. It feels like Hoyoverse still wants to improve basic aspects of the game such as how it works.
