Obsidian’s Grounded Enters the “Home Stretch” with New Update

It GroundedTeam is now in the Home Stretch for the final release, which will be on September 27, with the most recent update of the game. They are hard at work creating the final game, which a group of more than 10 million people has contributed to defining over the past two years. Although the 1.0 update will be the largest, there are some new major features in Home Stretch that players can try.

Shared Worlds is the first and most important feature that many players have been looking forward to: Shared worlds allow players to store their worlds on the cloud. This allows friends and family to access the world, even when the owner is not online. One player may have three Shared Worlds and up to 50 shared worlds. The Save/Load menu will allow players to convert their Standard Worlds into Shared Worlds.

Aside from the increased opportunities for sharing your backyard with your friends, you will be able share your adventures with new in-game friends as you can pet a gnat. Little insects will no longer be able to just swarm around players out of curiosity, but because they love them. With the tuning of passive buffs, and the possibility to equip pets with armor, pet help has increased. Further benefits for players include updates to everyone’s favorite robot friend, BURG.L, who has now acquired enough chips to remember he can roll his treads to inspect the Oak Lab and fulfill his assistant duties.

The Home Stretch update will include a new cooking class. Players will no longer feel the weird feeling that mushroom bricks are affecting their quesadillantlion because they can now make meals at the cookery. Cookery is also an early crafting unlock that allows players to access meal recipes as soon as they start exploring the backyard.

This isn’t the only change to crafting, however, as Armor and Weapon upgrades have also received a revamp in response to community feedback. Fashion Nuggets or Tough Nuggets are two new materials that can be used to create and enhance armor and weaponry. The early game experience is greatly improved for both new and return players.

Players will finally be able see the Rest Timelapse, which displays time in the yard during sleep while they are tired from all the cooking and crafting.
