Nintendo Dives Deep Into Xenoblade Chronicles 3
With Xenoblade Chronicles III only a month away the Nintendo Direct featured details on characters, world and more. This presentation, which lasts 20 minutes, comes just months after the original September release date for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was bumped up to today’s July 29 release date. There was plenty of new information in the show, and you can see the title’s latest trailer below.
The game has six main characters, each belonging to one of two warring nations. They are Noah, Eunie and Lanz who represent Keves. While Mio, Taion, and Sena belong to Agnus. Trailer explains how members of every nation (including our protagonists) are given only ten years of life, called a term. During this time, individuals battle those of the opposing country until they die or receive the honour of a homecoming ceremony.
However, Xenoblade Chronicle 3’s protagonists have turned into fugitives. They meet up on a mission to restore the world’s natural order and decide to work together, rather than fighting. They will be traversing a vast array of terrains to find the best possible solution for the restoration of nature’s order, and they will face off against formidable foes.

The trailer showed vast fields of grass, deserts and snowcapped peaks. Each one will have treasure and monsters, as well as places for rest. There are many colonies around the globe that offer shops, dining, and meeting new characters. Rest spots are small, camp-like areas where characters can rest, cook and craft new gems. This may open up the possibility of new quests. Although the world may seem vast, players can navigate it using a variety of methods. The game allows players to trigger quest routes that will guide them towards their next objective. There is also fast travel available which can be used from the Breath Of the Wild map.

Travelers are at constant risk from being attacked by enemy soldiers or vicious clawed creatures. Simply by running up against a foe and bringing your weapon, you can get into combat. You can control only one character at a given time. However, the party can fight together as one. The three basic categories of character are Attackers/Defendants/Healers. But everyone can have a different class and share their abilities with others after fighting together. It’s possible to recruit other heroes around the world as seventh party members. They also have different abilities that can teach main fighters. The action can be changed by combining powerful moves from different partners, such as when they join forces in battle to form an Ouroboros. However, the combined shape can only be controlled by one of its members. This will change how the Ouroboros fights, so choose wisely.

Today’s Nintendo Direct also showed that the expansion pack for the game will cost $29.99 and can be purchased by players. The title is compatible with Amiibos. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 launches on Switch in July. Fans will soon be able to see all details from today’s Direct.
