Capcom’s Exoprimal gets new gameplay, beta test in livestream reveal

Capcom revealed more about its dinosaur-slaughtering action game ExoprimalOn Monday, the publishers showed off a number of missions types and different activities. They also showcased new Exo Suits which players could use to combat waves of raptors during livestreams. Also, the publisher announced that a closed network testing will be conducted. Exoprimal, which will offer a preview of the action before the game’s 2023 launch.

Takuro Shiraoka was the game director for Capcom Showcase. He described the various war games that the players would be able to participate in at the Capcom Showcase. ExoprimalThis includes the main Dino Survival Mode: A PvEvP-style PvEvP mode where two teams of five compete to defeat dino hordes while accomplishing objectives. Dino Survival has a range of mission types. One involves protecting a VTOL airplane, while another requires that a certain dinosaur be killed. Another is where you smash everything with a gigantic glowing hammer.

Hiraoka also teased an enemy called the Neo Tyrannosaurus — which, if we’re guessing, sounds like a very, very, very large dinosaur — and direct player-versus-player components.

All of the game’s dino-crushing action is guided by Leviathan, an artificial intelligence which seems to have a hidden motivation of its own.

Exoprimal’s game director also showed off two new Exo Suit roles: Barrage, an assault class that specializes in explosives and has Ghost Rider hair, and Vigilant, another assault class that uses a railgun to snipe from longer range.

They are tempted to be players Exoprimal’s dino carnage can now register to take part in a network test that will be held on Steam this summer. This test is only for Windows PCs and will include gameplay sessions on July 11th, July 25th and August 7.

ExoprimalIn the coming year, it will go on sale for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 (Windows PC), Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
