343 Is Investigating Halo Infinite Battle Pass Progression
343 community director Brian Jarrard took to Twitter yesterday to address something that’s getting a lot of chatter as players begin to jump into the free-to-play Halo Infinite multiplayer experience. The topic might surprise you, as it’s not about any weapon being overpowered or a map being weak but rather something else entirely. So what is all the discourse about? Of course, the battle is over!
We are grateful to all who have jumped in the fray. #HaloInfintieSo far, beta FYI, the Battle Pass team is currently analyzing Battle Pass progress and gathering data from yesterday’s sessions. We’ll keep you posted with any updates. Continue to provide feedback and flagging issues as they arise. 1/3

You can progress through the battle passes by fulfilling challenges. Challenges could include anything from landing shots to playing games. People have commented on forums and Twitter that the process of unlocking items in the battle pass is slower than other reward tracks. As you progress through the season, you will have access to a lot of cosmetics for your avatar.
Do you think it is too slow? Do the rewards make it worthwhile to take the extra time required to pass the test? The answer will come out of time, but 343 will be investigating the issue. A lot more conversation can be had about battle passes, and the fact that they added an almost obligatory progression track to games as-service. This means players must watch their number go up and see what they don’t unlock at a rapid pace so they feel they are getting something in return. Do you remember when games were just for fun? Yeah, me either – if you’ll excuse me I need to go unlock levels 7-10 on my battle pass to get some sweet loot.
