You Can Toss Furniture As Lady Dimitrescu In Resident Evil Village’s Mercenaries Update

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition arrives in October and introduces the Winters’ story expansion. This content update includes an expanded version of the game’s Mercenaries mode, introducing Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg, and Lady Dimitrescu as playable characters. A new trailer shows off each of their abilities and how players can tear through hordes of monstrosites as this powerful trio. 

The update, called The Mercenaries Additional Orders, adds two new stages, Bloody Village and Bloody River, and lets players mow down adversaries as faces such as the weapon-strapped Chris Redfield. When his arsenal of guns aren’t enough, the former BSAA agent packs a powerful punch that can have foes reeling, and activating his Onslaught gauge grants him an absurd speed boost, letting him move and reload in the blink of an eye. Chris has a locator that pinpoints targets so he can summon support when all else fails. 

Heisenberg has the ability to use his magneto powers to smash enemies with his huge hammer, tossing buzzsaws, other objects and channel lightning. You can call on his Soldat Jets for assistance. 

Lady D is a towering figure who uses her formidable claws to sever threats. This builds up a thrill meter. The Thrill meter grants her special abilities, such as summoning her daughters. The trailer shows Dimitrescu destroying her bedroom dresser in front of a mob. This is a funny reference to the time she did the same thing during the main campaign. 

If you already own Resident Evil Village, you can purchase the Winter’s Expasion standalone to access the new Mercenaries content. Resident Evil Village’s Gold Edition package includes both the expansion and base game. Both games will go live on October 28.
