Xbox Insider Release Notes – Xbox App [2311.1000.50.0] and Game Bar [6.123.11012.0]

Hello Xbox Insiders. Xbox Insiders enrolled in PC Gaming Insiders Preview will receive a brand new Xbox App build for Windows and a Game Bar version! It is a second release of the 2311 version! Continue reading to discover new features, fixes, known issues, and more. You will need to update your Xbox app, Game Bar or Gaming Services if you want all the fantastic fixes that are listed below.

PC Gaming Prerelease Products: New Versions

Xbox App version: 2311.1000.50.0

Windows Gaming Prerelease Products:

Gaming Services version released: 16.82.1001.0

• Released: 5:00 p.m. PT – November 2nd, 2023    

The Newest Features:

• Updated user interface in the queue for installation
• The game channels, button fonts and buttons have been updated.
• Improved notifications interface, with the option of showing unread messages only
• App that offers a compact mode to improve the user experience for handhelds and smaller screens
• Navigation of the controller app has been improved

Xbox App Bug Fixes:

• Xbox App: Fixed several UI scaling problems
• Fixes an error that could occur when launching Xbox on Windows after a clean install.
• Fix for a bug where frowning faces could appear when you unlink certain accounts via the Xbox App
• The UI may not scale correctly when the window is resized
• Find and fix several bugs related to text alignment, UI issues etc.
• Fixes an issue with Narrator not reading folder paths correctly in Settings

Fixed Game Bar bugs:

• Fixes for several issues behind the scenes
• Fixes several problems with the text display

There are a number of known issues:

• [XBOX APP]The team has identified a couple of specific mistakes when viewing sales. They are investigating.
• [GAME BAR]Some games may appear in the Game Bar twice
• [GAME BAR]Team is looking into an issue which is causing crashes in the party chat when you type.
• [GAME BAR]Occasionally, users may encounter errors when attempting to log in after a recent login.
