Xbox Insider Release Notes – Omega (2310.231009-2200)

Hello Xbox Insiders. A new Xbox Update preview is coming soon to the Omega Ring. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. Below are the details!

System Update Details:

Please Note:The update might not be automatic until it becomes mandatory. The most recent update is always available as soon as the software becomes available. Please Remember: Newly enrolled users in this ring are not guaranteed to receive all early updates, but they’ll receive the update prior to the GA release. The Fixes Have Been Implemented

The following fixes were implemented in this build, thanks to Xbox’s engineers.

There are known issues

Some issues may have already been addressed in prior Xbox Insider Release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

• There have been reports that users are experiencing audio problems intermittently across all dashboards, apps, and games. If you are experiencing issues, make sure that you have updated the firmware on your TV or other equipment. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
  • Please Note:: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Please include as many details as possible.
    • What was the initial cause of your problem?
    • Do you only lose audio in games/apps or also the system audio?
    • If yes, does changing the audio format solve the problem? How did the previous and new formats compare?
    • Rebooting the computer fixes this issue.
    • What is your set-up? Equipment, layout, etc.
    • You can also provide additional information to try and reproduce the error.

• There is a known issue causing unanticipated steering wheel vibrations in some games. We will fix this in the next update.

Xbox Controllers Keyboard Mapping

• The change in keyboard language will appear after you close the Xbox Accessories application or reboot your console.

Networking

• Currently, we are looking into reports that the console does not automatically connect to its network when it boots. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
  • WorkaroundWait for a connection to be established. If your console still hasn’t connected, restart your Xbox from the Power Center by holding the Xbox button > Restart console > Restart.

Use only the best quality Report a Problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
