Xbox Insider Release Notes – Omega (2309.231010-1055)
Hello Xbox Insiders. A new Xbox Update preview is coming soon to the Omega Ring. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.
We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. You can find the full details below.

System Update Details:
- OS Version Released: XB_FLT_2309ZN25398.2266.231010-1055

- Mandatory: 4 a.m. PT – October 13, 2023
Notes: Today’s update will only be released to a small subset of users in Omega who have yet to receive a 2310 update.

You can also check out our Facebook page.: Newly enrolled users in this ring are not guaranteed to receive all early updates, but they’ll receive the update prior to the GA release. A small group of users will also be able to stay on the current GA version once they have enrolled until the next mandatory system update is released. Fixed
We are pleased to announce that the following improvements have been made to this build thanks to the efforts of Xbox engineers:
Play the Game
- Some steering wheels were experiencing unwanted vibration when playing certain titles.
- Some titles could have an unintentional cursor that would remain visible while playing.

- Stability and performance improvements.
There are known issues
It is our understanding that some of these issues were listed in the previous Xbox Insider release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.
Audio
- There have been reports that users are experiencing audio problems intermittently across all dashboards, apps, and games. Check your firmware for any issues you may have. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
- Notes: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Please include as many details as possible.
- What was the initial cause of your problem?
- Do you only lose audio in games/apps or also the system audio?
- Is it possible to fix the problem by changing the format of the audio? What was the audio format prior to and after changing?
- Rebooting the computer fixes this issue.
- What’s included in your setup? Equipment, layout, etc.
- Please provide any other information that you may have to help reproduce the issue.

Xbox Controllers: Keyboard button mapping
- After quitting or restarting the console, your changes will take effect if you make a change to your keyboard language while using the Xbox Accessories application.
Networking
- We’re investigating reports that the console might not be able to connect with their network at boot. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
- WorkaroundWait for a connection to be established. If your console still hasn’t connected, restart your Xbox from the Power Center by holding the Xbox button > Restart console > Restart.
Be sure to use Report a problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
