Xbox Insider Release Notes – Delta (2310.231018-2200)

Hello Xbox Insiders. The Delta ring will soon be receiving a brand new Xbox Update. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. You can find the full details below.

System Update Details:

• OS Released Version: XB_FLT_2310ZN25398.2538.231018-2200
• Available: 5:30 p.m. PT – October 19, 2023
• Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – October 20, 2023

• Fix for a bug where users could not install games from the Game Management page as they expected.

Problems that are already known

Some issues may have already been addressed in prior Xbox Insider Release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Audition

• There have been reports that users are experiencing audio problems intermittently across all dashboards, apps, games, etc. For those who have encountered problems, make sure that you are using the most recent firmware update for your TV or other equipment. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
  • Notes: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Please include as many details as possible.
    • When was the problem first raised?
    • Do you only lose audio in games/apps or also the system audio?
    • Is it possible to fix the problem by changing the format of the audio? How did the previous and new formats compare?
    • Rebooting the computer fixes this issue.
    • What is your set-up? Equipment, layout, etc.
    • Please provide any other information that you may have to help reproduce the issue.

Xbox Controllers: Keyboard button mapping

• After quitting or restarting the console, your changes will appear if you make a change to your keyboard language while using the Xbox Accessories application.

Networking

• Reports indicate that consoles may not boot up to the network correctly. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.

Use only the best quality Report a Problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
