Xbox Insider Release Notes – Beta (2310.230928-1038)

Hello Xbox Insiders. The Beta Ring will soon be receiving a brand new Xbox Update. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. Below are the details!

System Update Details:

• OS Version Released: XB_FLT_2310ZN25398.2453.230928-1038
• Available: 2 p.m. PT – October 3, 2023
• Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – October 4, 2023

The Newest Features and Experiences

Have some exciting news for you! Xbox Update preview users will soon be able to enjoy a new feature.

Play from Profile

A random subset of users will notice with today’s update we’re making it easier to get, play, and see details about games others are playing directly from their profiles, as well as reorganizing the join and invite commands on these pages.

The Fixes Have Been Implemented

We are pleased to announce that the following improvements have been made to this build thanks to the efforts of Xbox engineers:

Accessibility

• Magnifier behaved differently than expected on some games.

Manage Queue

• The issue with recent titles being wrapped to the 2nd row was fixed.

The system is a

• The console has been updated to correctly reflect all local languages.

There are known issues

Some issues may have already been addressed in prior Xbox Insider Release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Audiences can be heard by clicking on the following link:

• There have been reports that users are experiencing audio problems intermittently across all apps, dashboard, and games.
  • Please Note:: If you experience issues with audio, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”.
  • Include as many details as you can:
    • When was the problem first raised?
    • Is the audio only in your game/app, or is it also system audio?
    • Is it possible to fix the problem by changing the format of the audio? How did the previous and new formats compare?
    • Rebooting the computer fixes this issue?
    • What is your set-up? Equipment, layout, etc.
    • You can also provide additional information to try and reproduce the error.

Xbox Controllers: Keyboard button mapping

• After quitting or restarting the console, your changes will appear if you make changes to your keyboard settings in the Xbox Accessories application.

Manage Queue

• When the queue is empty, the border around “When games and apps are installing, you’ll see them here” may appear to extend off-screen. This is being fixed.

Networking

• According to reports, the console might not be able to connect with their network at boot. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
  • WorkaroundIf your console is still not connected, restart it from the Power Center by holding down the Xbox button > Restart console > Restart. If your console still hasn’t connected, restart your Xbox from the Power Center by holding the Xbox button > Restart console > Restart.

Be sure to use Report a problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
