Xbox Insider Release Notes – Beta (2310.230924-2200)

Hello Xbox Insiders. A new Xbox Update preview is coming soon to the beta ring. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. Below are the details!

System Update Details:

• Available: 2 p.m. PT – September 28, 2023
• Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – September 29, 2023

Enjoy New Experiences and Features

There’s exciting news to share! Xbox Update Preview Beta users should expect new features.

Controllers

Starting today, Xbox Wireless Controller Firmware v. 1.1 will contain various fixes.

Xbox Game Pass

A random group of users that launches an Xbox Game Pass Title soon to leave the catalog will get a dialog to help them understand when exactly the game is going to be removed and to offer a way to continue to play the game even after its removal.

Fixed

We are pleased to announce that the following improvements have been made to this build thanks to the efforts of Xbox engineers:

It is not a good system.

• The console has been updated to correctly reflect all local languages.
  • Please Note:: Users participating in Preview may see “odd” text across the console, for more information go here.

Problems that are already known

It is our understanding that some of these issues were listed in the previous Xbox Insider release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Accessibility

• Magnifier might not act as expected in certain games. A fix is being developed.

Audiences can be heard by clicking on the following link:

• Users have reported intermittent audio issues across dashboards, games and apps.
  • Please Note:: If you experience issues with audio, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”.
  • Make sure you include as many details about the event as possible.
    • What was the initial cause of your problem?
    • Is the audio only in your game/app, or is it also system audio?
    • If yes, does changing the audio format solve the problem? How did the previous and new formats compare?
    • Is rebooting the device a solution?
    • What’s included in your setup? Equipment, layout, etc.
    • Please provide any other information that you may have to help reproduce the issue.

Xbox Controllers Keyboard Mapping

• The change in keyboard language will take effect after you close the Xbox Accessories App or restart your console.

Manage Queue

• It is possible that titles recently installed may unexpectedly wrap into a second column. A fix has been developed.

Networking

• We’re investigating reports that the console might not be able to connect with their network at boot. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
  • WorkaroundIf your console is still not connected, restart it from the Power Center by holding down the Xbox button > Restart console > Restart. If your console still hasn’t connected, restart your Xbox from the Power Center by holding the Xbox button > Restart console > Restart.

Be sure to use Report a Problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
