Xbox Insider Release Notes – Beta (2310.230921-2200)

Hey Xbox Insiders. The Beta Ring will soon be receiving a brand new Xbox Update. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. You can find the full details below.

System Update Details:

• OS Released Version: XB_FLT_2310ZN25398.2429.230921-2200
• Available: 2 p.m. PT – September 26, 2023
• Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – September 27, 2023

The Fixes Have Been Implemented

We are pleased to announce that the following improvements have been made to this build thanks to the efforts of Xbox engineers:

It is not a good system.

• The console has been updated to correctly reflect all local languages.
  • Please Note:: Users participating in Preview may see “odd” text across the console, for more information go here.

There are known issues

It is our understanding that some of these issues were listed in the previous Xbox Insider release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Audio

• Users have reported intermittent audio issues across dashboards, games and apps.
  • Please Note:: If you experience issues with audio, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”.
  • Make sure you include as much detail as possible.
    • When was the problem first raised?
    • Is the audio only in your game or app, or is it also system audio?
    • If yes, does changing the audio format solve the problem? How did the previous and new formats compare?
    • Rebooting the computer fixes this issue?
    • What is your set-up? Equipment, layout, etc.
    • Please provide any other information that you may have to help reproduce the issue.

Xbox Controllers: Keyboard button mapping

• After quitting or restarting the console, your changes will appear if you make a change to your keyboard language while using the Xbox Accessories application.

Networking

• We’re investigating reports that the console might not be able to connect with their network at boot. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
  • WorkaroundWait for a connection to be established. If your console still hasn’t connected, restart your Xbox from the Power Center by holding the Xbox button > Restart console > Restart.

Manage Queue

• Recently installed titles can wrap unexpectedly to the second row. We’re working on fixing this.

Upload your photos to OneDrive

• You may need to wait a few days if you have a large number of images (1000+). It may take a few weeks for all of your images to be available.

Be sure to use Report a Problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
