Xbox Insider Release Notes – Alpha Skip-Ahead (2408.231101-2000)

Hello Xbox Insiders. The Alpha Skip-Ahead Ring will soon be receiving a brand new Xbox Update. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. You can find the full details below.

Xbox Insider Release Notes

System Update Details:

  • OS Version Released: RS_XBOX_DEV_FLIGHT25988.1001.231101-2000
  • Available: 2 p.m. PT – November 3, 2023
  • Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – November 4, 2023

Fixed

The following fixes were implemented in this build, thanks to Xbox’s engineers.

Play the Game

  • There are fixes to some titles that have not launched as planned.

The system is a

  • Updates to reflect the local language across consoles.
    • Notes: Users participating in Preview may see “odd” text across the console, for more information go here.

There are known issues

It is our understanding that some of these issues were listed in the previous Xbox Insider release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Audiences can be heard by clicking on the following link:

  • Users have reported intermittent audio issues across dashboards, games and apps. You may have encountered issues if your TV or other equipment does not have the most recent firmware. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
    • Notes: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Please include as many details as possible.
      • What is the origin of this problem?
      • Is the audio only in your game or app, or is it also system audio?
      • If yes, does changing the audio format solve the issue? How did the previous and new formats compare?
      • Is rebooting the system a solution?
      • What’s included in your setup? Equipment, layout, etc.
      • You can also provide additional information to try and reproduce the error.

Networking

  • Reports indicate that consoles may not boot up to the network correctly. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.

Use only the best quality Report a problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
