Xbox Insider Release Notes – Alpha Skip-Ahead (2408.231029-2000)
Hey Xbox Insiders. A new Xbox Update preview is coming soon to Alpha Skip-Ahead. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.
We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. Below are the details!
System Update Details:
- OS Release: RS_XBOX_DEV_FLIGHT25985.1005.231029-2000
- Available: 2 p.m. PT – November 1, 2023
- Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – November 2, 2023
Fixed
We are pleased to announce that the following improvements have been made to this build thanks to the efforts of Xbox engineers:
It is not a good system.
- The console has been updated to correctly reflect all local languages.
- Notes: Users participating in Preview may see “odd” text across the console, for more information go here.
There are known issues
Some issues may have already been addressed in prior Xbox Insider Release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.
Audio
- Users have reported intermittent audio issues across dashboards, games and apps. If you’re experiencing problems, ensure you have the most recent firmware update for your TV. If you’re unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
- Notes: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Include as much detail as you can:
- What was the initial cause of your problem?
- Is the audio only in your game or app, or is it also system audio?
- Is it possible to fix the problem by changing the format of the audio? What was the audio format prior to and after changing?
- Is rebooting the system a solution?
- What is your set-up? Equipment, layout, etc.
- You can also provide additional information to try and reproduce the error.
- Notes: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware updates, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Include as much detail as you can:
Networking
- Reports indicate that consoles may not boot up to the network correctly. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
Be sure to use Report a Problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
