Xbox Insider Release Notes – Alpha (2308.230614-2200)

Hello Xbox Insiders. There will be a brand new Xbox Update coming out in the Alpha Ring. It’s important we note that some updates made in these preview OS builds include background improvements that ensure a quality and stable build for Xbox consoles.

We continue to post these release notes, even when the noticeable changes to the UI are minimal, so you’re aware when updates are coming to your device. Below are the details!

System Update Details:

• OS Release: XB_FLT_2308ZN25398.1510.230614-2200
• Available: 2 p.m. PT – June 16, 2023
• Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – June 17, 2023

The Fixes Have Been Implemented

We are pleased to announce that the following improvements have been made to this build thanks to the efforts of Xbox engineers:

It is not a good system.

• Updates to reflect the local language across consoles.
  • Please Note:: Users participating in Preview may see “odd” text across the console, for more information go here.

There are known issues

Some issues may have already been addressed in prior Xbox Insider Release notes. These items aren’t being ignored, but it will take Xbox engineers more time to find a solution.

Audio

• Users have reported intermittent audio issues across dashboards, games and apps.
  • Please Note:: If you experience issues with audio, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option.
  • Select the category “Console experiences” then “Console Audio Output Issues” and include the following information:
    • What was the time when this issue started? After a console update, reboot, resume, etc.
    • Is the audio only in your game or app, or is it also system audio?
    • If yes, does changing the audio format solve the issue? What was the audio format prior to and after changing?
    • Is rebooting the device a solution?
    • What is your current setup? Equipment, layout, etc.
    • Please provide any other information that you may have to help reproduce the issue.

My Games & Apps

• Titles in collection may incorrectly appear with a “trial” tag.

TV/Display

• Several users have complained that their consoles display incorrectly when they boot.  We’re aware of this and are investigating.
  • Note:Please report this problem immediately if you experience it. Include the model and make of your TV/Display.
  • Workaround: Restarting the console via the Power Center (holding down the Xbox button > Restart console > Restart) should resolve the behavior. You can check the Troubleshooting section here. Make sure you read the part about updating your TV’s firmware.

Be sure to use Report a Problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we’ll gather is crucial to finding a resolution.
