Xbox Developer Direct: Every big announcement, trailer, release date
Bethesda Softworks and Xbox Game Studios held Wednesday’s Developer Direct Showcase, showcasing new gameplay and details for titles like Redfall, Minecraft LegendsAnd Forza Motorsport. While Bethesda’s Starfield was a notable absence — something Microsoft communicated ahead of time — there was at least one major surprise: a new game announcement and a surprise game release.

MinecraftLegends will be available in April
Mojang Minecraft and Blackbird Interactive jumped into Minecraft Legends’ PvP mode, which combines elements of action and real-time strategy games, and pits teams of players against each other to build a base, collect, resources, and raid each other’s strongholds. A release date has been announced by them as well. Minecraft LegendsIt will arrive on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Windows PCs.
ForzaMotorsport goes down to earth in 2023
There’s still no release date for the new Forza MotorsportTurn 10 Studios developed the race game, and offered an in-depth look at the sequel Wednesday. Forza MotorsportMore than 500 vehicles are included in the fleet. It also features 4K resolution at 60 frames/second, and ray-traced lighting rendering.

Redfall is launched May
Arkane Studios’ Redfall“First-person shooter” ‘, which pits survivors against a plague of vampires in overrun seaside towns, will arrive on Xbox Series X (Windows PC) May 2. RedfallGame Pass will be available for Xbox and PC.
Hi-Fi RushSurprise launch
Tango Gameworks, Bethesda Softworks’ studio behind the horror game The Evil Within. Ghostwire: TokyoIt revealed the next project. Hi-Fi Rush. It’s a big departure for the studio; Hi-Fi Rush is a cartoonish rhythm-based action game with a colorful visual style that looks somewhere between Sega’s Jet Set Radio and Insomniac’s Sunset Overdrive. An even bigger surprise? It’s out now on Game Pass and Steam.
The Elder Scrolls OnlineNecrom comes to June
ZeniMax Online Studios’ MMO The Elder ScrollsOrder OnlineA new chapter begins NecromIt will be available in June. It will bring players back to the alien lands and unexplored eastern areas of Morrowind. NecromIt introduces a new class of play, the Arcanist.
